Umeda Sky Building

The Umeda Sky Building was constructed in 1993 as the core facility of "Shin-Umeda City" located in Umeda, Osaka. HARA Hiroshi (1936- ), the architect who designed the building, is an architect who has worked on many large-scale buildings that play an important role in the urban landscape, such as the Kyoto Station Building and the Sapporo Dome.

The Umeda Sky Building features a unique design with two skyscrapers 173 meters high connected by a hanging garden observation deck. From the observation deck, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Osaka cityscape. It is also a great place to take a break and enjoy the gallery stores and cafes/restaurants. On the 27th floor of Tower West is the Koji Kinutani Tenku Art Museum, where visitors can enjoy the world of Western-style painter KINUTANI Koji (1943-) through 3D and VR experiences.

It is located about a 7-minute walk from JR Osaka Station.
